This release will not work with earlier 2022 RoboRIO images and will error out if a deploy is attempted to an earlier version similarly, older versions of WPILib will not work with the v4.0 image. After installing 2022 f1, use the RoboRIO Imaging Tool to reimage your RoboRIO to 2022_v4.0. Important: Reimaging the RoboRIO to 2022_v4.0 is required to use this release this is installed by National Instruments FRC Game Tools 2022 f1 (note the "f1" in the version number).
Download links and additional information are available at. This release tracks to RoboRIO image v4.0, which fixes the Analog Devices SPI gyros issue and is required per Team Update 8. This is the second update release of WPILib for the 2022 season.
Come talk to us on: Discord, ChiefDelphi, or on our Github. We would love to have your feedback on the roadmap and anything you think we might have missed on the roadmap! Please keep in mind that WPILib is community driven and the most surefire way to see the feature you care about come to life is for you to help work on it. The intent is to provide you with the best knowledge we have of where we are headed and how our guesstimate of roughly how long it will take to get there. It can and likely will change in the future. This only represents our current understanding of priorities. This takes a blend of: skills required to implement, desire to implement, and priority to implement this feature over other competing features. Ultimately someone has to put in the work to add each one of these features. There are many factors that go into each of the items on this roadmap. From there we have tried to generally convey how we are prioritizing things with this roadmap. A good first step to planning is setting out a list of all of things that are currently competing for our contributor's time. We have heard a lot of great feedback recently and would like to keep increasing the transparency with how we are planning to work on WPILib.
